The limited space in your luggage can make it difficult to pack all beauty products from home into a small pouch. You should decide which products are the most important to you. Do you really need that eyeshadow palette with one hundred different colors? Will you be using eyeliner for a day at the beach? Most likely not. It is best to pack something compact and more practical for on-the-go situations. Today, I will be sharing with you the top five essential beauty products you should pack on every trip.

1) Moisturizer

Moisturizer is an essential product for your skin’s health. It is important to bring a moisturizer with you on your trip because it will keep your face hydrated throughout the day. If you are traveling somewhere cold, this will avoid your skin from being flakey and irritated. Moisturizers help maintain the skin’s elasticity and prolongs the aging effects. Brands such as Cetaphil and CeraVe have good skincare products.

2) Sunscreen

Sunscreen helps prevent the harmful UV rays from damaging your skin. It protects your skin from wrinkles, sunburn, skin cancer, and other skin diseases. Whether you are traveling to a hot location or not, it is vital to bring this product with you. There are two types of sunscreens; one for your face and one for the rest of your body. The facial sunscreen utilizes ingredients that are more gentle for your face. Remember to buy sunscreen with a higher SPF because those tend to block UVB rays. For my face, I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Water Resistant Sunscreen and for my body, I use Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport Sunscreen.

3) BB Cream

BB cream is another beneficial beauty product to bring when traveling. It is a primer, sunscreen, and foundation all in one. BB Cream is similar to foundation, but has a lighter consistency and looks more natural on the face. This is useful for when you want to quickly cover up eyebags, skin discoloration, or any blemishes you may have. BB Cream is very easy to use and doesn’t feel too cakey. Multiple makeup brands have BB cream such as Maybelline, L’Oreal Paris, and Glossier.

4) Oil Blotting Sheets

Oil blotting sheets are useful especially for traveling to warmer destinations. They also come in small packages. Throughout the day, your face produces oil and grease, which can clog up your pores. With this product, you can eliminate the dirt. This is beneficial for when you are taking photos as well because it will mattify your face. You can put one of these packages in your bag and you are ready to go!

5) Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a type of shampoo that usually comes in a spray can with a variety of scents. If you are running late and can’t wash your hair, this will be your savior! This is especially useful for busy traveling days such as the day of the flight. There are drugstore and high end dry shampoo products that you can find including Batiste and Not Your Mother’s.

That is all for today’s blog. I hope you learned what kinds of beauty products are essential for travel. Thank you for reading.

See you next time,

Eryka
