Here are a couple of travel apps I recommend downloading to guarantee an effortless travel experience:
Moovit– An app that shares arrival times of public transportation services and gives directions to multiple cities. If you are using public transit during your trip, I definitely recommend using this app!
WhatsApp– A messenger app that allows you to communicate to others without needing access to the internet. You can send text messages, video calls, pictures, etc.
Meetup– An app that helps you find groups of people who have the same interests as you. This is a great app to meet locals in your city.
XE Currency– A currency converter app. If you are on a budget, this will help you track your expenses.
Guides by Lonely Planet– A guidebook app that provides you with tips, maps, and itineraries for 8,000+ cities around the world. You don’t need data connection to use the app.
Localeur- An app similar to Yelp, which provides personal advice and recommendations from locals in the city. They share with you the best places to visit, the food to eat, and many more!
The Flight Tracker– An app that warns you about flight arrival, departures, and cancellations. This helps you to keep track of your traveling time.
Timeshifter– An app the helps you to recuperate from jet lag. The app asks about your sleep schedule, chronotype, and other personal information. Then, it tells you the actions needed to be done, in order to adjust your body and mind to the new time.
