Glossary

Amenities– Additional features provided for convenience and comfortability also known as complementary items (Examples: Wi-Fi, shuttle service, laundry facilities, free parking, breakfast, etc.)

Book– To reserve something in advance (Examples: airplane ticket, hotel, car rental, etc.)

Brochure– A pamphlet with pictures and information to inform customers about popular tourist sites

Destination– A place where someone is going to or wants to go to

Flight Attendant– A person who ensures the safety and comfort of passengers. Their duties are to serve food and beverages, review seatbelt procedures, and lock cabinets

Itinerary– An organized schedule of daily activities

Luggage– A suitcase where personal belongings are stored for travel

Round-Trip Ticket– An airplane ticket that allows a person to travel to new destination and back to residential area

Tourist– A person (usually a foreigner) who travels to a new place

Travel Documents– Documents that are required for international travel. (Examples: U.S. Passport, U.S. Military I.D, Driver’s License, etc.)
