There are many types of travelers you will encounter on your trip. Everyone travels in a different way and for a different purpose. Which of these ten types of travelers best describe you?

1) The Adventurer

The Adventurer is someone who is spontaneous, enjoys taking risks, and loves the outdoors. If something didn’t happen as planned, don’t worry they have a bucket list of crazy activities that you can do. They seek for unique experiences, so you might catch them bungee jumping or skiing in the snow.

2) The Escapist

The Escapist is someone who was stuck in a rut and needed to leave home. They probably have been feeling sad, guilty, or bored. They travel because they want to escape their feelings and current life situations. They usually don’t have a plan because their purpose is just to get out of their normal routine.

3) The Tourist

The Tourist is someone who travels to the most popular destinations. They usually travel during the peak of the holidays with family and friends. They have a plan which includes five star restaurants from Yelp, tour guides, sightsee well-known monuments, and many more cliché activities. They are excited to see what the hype is all about!

4) The Planner

The Planner is someone who is very organized and good at time management. They have an itinerary with all of their tasks in order. They memorized the guidebook and map to ensure their trip runs smoothly. They want to be prepared and  have everything in their control.

5) The Materialistic

The Materialistic is someone who travels to shop and collect souvenirs. Their main goal is to visit malls and local boutiques. You will find them in the heart of busy cities, instead of hiking in the woods or reading a book at the beach.

6) The Foodie

The Foodie is someone who travels to taste delicious food from different cultures. Some of them want to learn more about the culinary arts around the world and others want to indulge their cravings. They usually take photos of their aesthetically pleasing dishes and share them on social media.

7) The Budgeter

The Budgeter is someone who travels on a budget. You will find them searching brochures for coupons, asking for group discounts, and browsing the web for travel deals. They are very smart and know how to save money while having a blast on vacation!

8) The Student Traveler

The Student Traveler is a student who travels for volunteering or study abroad opportunities. They usually travel in big groups to accomplish the same goal. The volunteers help less developed countries. The study abroad students learn a variety of subjects in a different country.

9) The Vlogger

The Vlogger is someone who has an online platform such as Youtube or a personalized website, to share original content. You will usually find this person traveling with a camera or a GoPro in one hand. Their purpose is to entertain and educate their audience about different places that they travel to.

10) The Cultural Learner

The Cultural Learner is someone who travels to gain new cultural experiences. They are someone who are open-minded and wants to learn more about other cultures. They tend to visit countries that they have no knowledge about. Their main purpose for traveling is to immerse themselves in new living situations.
