If you like to eat delicious food while traveling to unique destinations, then you are at the right spot! Trying new food from a place you have never been to before can be a little intimidating. But with the help of a few experts, you will be informed about the best places eat! In today’s blog, I will be sharing with you my top 5 favorite Youtube channels (least to most favorite) to watch about food travel.
1. Buzzfeed Bring Me
Buzzfeed Bring Me is a channel ran by multiple people in the Buzzfeed company. Buzzfeed Bring Me’s content is broad. They discover many types of food, but they don’t only focus on critiquing food. Some of their other videos are about cool locations around the world. For instance, they have a video about sleeping in a cave motel in Arizona. Many of their videos are edited into montages. A montage is a acummulation of smaller video clips combined into one. Buzzfeed Bring Me is a great place to find more information about food and places, however the content isn’t the most personal or detailed.
2. CupofTJ
CupofTJ is hosted by TJ Lee, a food and travel blogger. She explores various food trends and local spots. Her channel consists of Asian street food from Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and other countries. She also visits themed cafes like the Harry Potter Cafe and the Gudetama Cafe. I enjoy watching her vlogs because of her openheartedness towards trying new food. Furthermore, she has a 30-day travel vlogger course, where she shares her tips to become a vlogger. In this course, she describes in depth about her past and how it lead to her dream career.
3. Strictly Dumpling
Strictly Dumpling is hosted by Mike Chen, an enthusiastic food blogger. He has gained recognition through multiple channels, but Strictly Dumpling being his most popular channel. His videos are informative and entertaining to watch because he describes the taste of the food with his honest opinion. In his channel, you will find videos about all-you-can-eat buffets, food comparisons, massive amount of food (example: 100 pound BBQ meat fest), and many more. You will definitely be hungry after watching his videos!
4. Food Insider
Food Insider is another favorite channel of mine to watch about food travel. I enjoy watching this popular channel because the content is original, interesting, and educational. Whenever I watch these videos, I always learn something new. The food they eat in this channel is mouth-watering such as deep dish pizza from Chicago, cannoli from Boston, and soufflé pancakes from Pasadena. This channel interviews the owner of the restaurants to discover more about the history and culture of the meals they serve.
5. Buzzfeed Series: Worth It
The Worth It Series on Buzzfeed is hosted by Steven Lim and Andrew Ilnyckyj, two humorous people with a passion for food. In this channel, the hosts visit three locations with drastically different price points and compare which is worth their buck. For instance, one of the popular videos is called “$3 Mac ‘N’ Cheese Vs. $195 Mac ‘N’ Cheese.” I enjoy watching this channel because of the hosts’ unique characteristics and the insight they provide about the different locations. They also interview the owner of the restaurants to gain a greater understanding behind the recipes. This is my favorite food travel channel because of the restaurants they visit, quirky personalities, and the video editing techniques they use.
And that is the end of today’s blog. I hope you found this fascinating and watch some videos from these channels.
See you next time,
