Southern California is one of my favorite places to visit because of the trendy food, fashion, and attractions. In today’s blog, I will share with you five unique places you can check out during your next trip to Southern California.
1) The Last Bookstore
The Last Bookstore is a popular place to visit among tourists because of the variety of books and records they sell. The shop has two floors with books from all sorts of genres. Tourists also enjoy taking photos at the tunnel created out of books and the hidden rooms. This shop provides events such as author meet-and-greets and performances. You can probably spend the whole day here because you will find so many interesting kinds of novels to read.
2) Melrose Trading Post
Melrose Trading Post is a retro flea market that’s open on Sundays. The admission fees are donated to educational programs. Vendors at the Melrose Trading Post sell vintage clothing, jewelry, artwork, handcrafted goods, furniture, and other unique items. Occasionally, you might run into a celebrity or an influencer because many people spend their weekends here!
3) Fairfax Avenue
Fairfax Avenue is a well-known location in Los Angeles for its hypebeast stores and restaurants. Most of the shops you will find here are streetwear brands such as BAIT, Golf Wang, and Supreme. The culture of hip hop and skating influenced most of these fashion brands. If you enjoy thrift shopping, there are a few thrift stores you can visit here as well.
According to the LAB Anti-Mall’s website LAB stands for “Little American Business.” This area is a cute hangout spot filled with cafes, stores, and restaurants. A few of the stores here are Buffalo Exchange, Sweet Threads, and Creme Tangerine Records. There are also art installations made out of recycled materials such as CDs and bottle caps that make cute pictures for your Instagram feed!
5) Anaheim GardenWalk’s Art on the Walk
Art on the Walk is located in Anaheim GardenWalk. This location is a fun place to take Instagram photos with the colorful murals and art installations such as their Chalkboard wall and selfie spots. They have a kiosk called “Foto Nota” where you can print out some pictures from Instagram.
That is all for today’s blog. Make sure to check out these trendy spots next time you visit Southern California. Thank you for reading.
See you next time,
Eryka
